Mr. Wintroath is originally from Southern California. He moved with his family to Minnesota when he was young and that is where he attended Catholic elementary and high school. He graduated from St. Mary's University of Minnesota in Winona, MN with a BA in Social Studies Education and his Initial Teaching Licensure. After college Mr. Wintroath served for two years in the Lasallian Volunteers program, a long-term service program with the De La Salle Christian Brothers. He taught Social Studies and Physical Education to middle school students at San Miguel School in Chicago, IL. In 2019 Mr Wintroath moved to Boston and joined the Urban Catholic Teachers Corps program through the Lynch School of Education at Boston College. He completed his course work in 2021 and received a M.Ed. in Curriculum & Instruction from Boston College while also teaching at Mother Caroline Academy in Dorchester, MA. Presently a member of the Catholic Leadership Cohort at Boston College's Lynch School of Education, Mr. Wintroath is earning a M.Ed. in Education Leadership & Policy and the Initial Licensure for School Administration. He recently finished his fourth year of teaching at Mother Caroline Academy, were he also served the school as Assistant Dean of Students. Mr. Wintroath is most excited to join this faith-filled community as both a leader and collaborator. He believes that “Catholic education not only unlocks the mind, but it unlocks the heart and it unlocks the soul. To be able to step into a community where they’ve been doing that for decades and they are staffed by people who are mission driven and truly believe in it, I’m excited to do that.”
