The people of St. Mary’s Parish extend our BEST WISHES, PRAYERS and CONGRATULATIONS to Fr. José upon his appointment by Bishop Robert McManus as the new Head of School for St. Paul Diocesan Junior/Senior High School in Worcester.
Dr. David Perda, Superintendent of Catholic Schools for Diocese of Worcester, announced the Bishop’s appointment and introduced Fr. Jose to the Faculty and Staff of St. Paul’s last week.
Before arriving in the Diocese of Worcester in the Fall of 2015 and making St. Mary’s his “home parish” on the States, Fr. José spent eight years as a teacher and administrator in Colombia at Colegio Jesús María, a Catholic secondary school with an enrollment of over 1,200 students. He served as a teacher of English as a Second Language and Religion for five years before being named the Principal.
We look forward to the opportunities we will have over the next two months as a parish and school community to congratulate Fr. José and wish him well in this important ministry, which will begin on July 1st.
