  We have organized several volunteer opportunities for parishioners and families to participate in as a parish family on a single day. Whether you enjoy painting, sorting donations, cleaning, serving at a food pantry, or visiting with a homebound parishioner, we have a project that is perfect for you and your family.
  Check-in:
  Please arrive at the Parish Hall between at 8:30 AM to check in for your assigned project. You’ll meet your Team Captain, receive final instructions, and coordinate carpooling if needed. We'll have coffee, juice, and donuts for you!
  
  T-Shirts: Thanks to the generosity of Nick Trippi, we will have FREE T-Shirts for you to wear to your projects. You can pick them up at check-in.
  
  Blessing and Sending: Before we head out, we’ll gather for a special blessing and sending to begin our day of service with purpose and unity.

In the Hour of Need Family Shelter Location: 91 June St, Worcester, MA 01602	Work: Cleaning the house as it transitions to it's new mission.	Teens & Adults
St. John’s Food for the Poor Location: 44 Temple Street, Worcester, MA	Work: Indoors: - Deep cleaning of kitchen and dining area Outdoors: -Seed grass, clean-up. Notes: Bring work gloves and brooms if you can.	Families, Teens, Adults
Greater Worcester Land Trust Location: 4 Ash St, Worcester, MA 01604	Work: The site requires cutting back branches, limbs, and brush to keep the trail network clear. There are some opportunities for erosion control and perhaps a small bridge installation over a wet patch. Material provided: 15 loppers, saws, and hand clippers for trail blazing, and some small hand saws. Volunteers could bring loppers or hand clippers of their own Parking:* Use small parking area at the trailhead and overflow parking in the field. Also use the adjacent park is needed. What to wear: Comfortable clothes & closed toe shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty.	Families, Teens, Adults
Shrewsbury Public Library Location: 609 Main St, Shrewsbury, MA 01545	Work: Weeding and Raking out flower beds. Parking is available at the library, if you don't want to walk from the church.	Families, Teens, Adults Important Note: Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Please bring gardening gloves and a rake if you have them.*
Urban Missionaries Location: Our Lady of Hope, 242 Canterbury Street, Worcester, MA 01603	Work: Thrift Store Work Clear out old inventory Stock new inventory Clean store Color-code labels/tabs Sort through merchandise	Teens, Adults
St. Mary Homebound Project and Visits Location: St. Mary's Hall and visits to Homebound Parishioners	Work: Decorate prayer box, write a prayer, and decorate a rock with a positive message. Families will then deliver to one or two of our homebound parishioners.	Families with small children or teens.
Catholic Charities Location: Southbridge office located at 79 Elm Street, Southbridge, MA 01550	Work: - Organizing and sorting donations (clothing, food, household items) - Pantry work and food distribution prep - Cleaning and general tidying - Light outdoor work (weather permitting)	Teens, Adults Important Note: To ensure the safety and compliance of all involved, we do require that a CORI check and a copy of a valid photo ID be submitted for every adult who will volunteer at one of our properties, regardless of age or role. Once we confirm your participation, I’ll send over the necessary forms and instructions for submission, I will need these by May 21st - Cori Form*
Visitation House Location: 119 Endicott Street, Worcester, MA	Work: - Outdoor yard work and clean up.	Teens, Adults They will have all the supplies and equipment needed.
Mustard Seed Location: 93 Piedmont St, Worcester, MA 01609	Work: - Spring Cleaning indoors and out - organizing supplies, yardwork, basement, kitchen, office and chapel.	3 to 4 families (Teens & Adults)
Habitat for Humanity ReStore Location: 640 Lincoln Street, Suite 100, Worcester, MA	Work: Organizing donations, restocking shelves, clean-up	ReStore can host volunteers aged 14 & 15 as long as they volunteer with a parent or legal guardian present. Once a volunteer is 16 years of age they can volunteer independently at the ReStore. Waiver form may be required. Orientation video required for adults.
