Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Sally Mansoor, our physical education teacher from Young World, has taken a full time position in a child care center. Mrs. Mansoor left us with the news she was expecting her first child. She is planning on attending the Christmas play so you still have time to congratulate her.

Young World has sent us a new physical education teacher, Justin Hagenbuch. He will begin classes Tuesday, December 6. Mr. Hagenbuch substituted at South High School, was an assistant coach at Worcester State College for men’s and women’s track and field, and teaches at the tennis club in Westboro. Welcome Mr. H!

Remember to pray for your advent angel.

Christmas in the Country

It’s Christmastime in Custard County and all is calm, all is…chaos! Snooty cousin Thomas is coming from the city to visit and that doesn’t “set” too well with cousin Rachel, who’s a bit tired of hearing about life in the big city from him. The church Christmas pageant is in trouble as well, and nothing short of a miracle can bring harmony to Custard County this year.

Join us and share in the true message of Christmas and the power of prayer as presented through country-flavored songs and entertaining dialog.

Mark your calendar for our school’s Christmas Pageant Wednesday, December 14 @ 1:00 p.m. and 7:00 pm.

Be patient, therefore, beloved, until the coming of the Lord. The farmer waits for the precious crop from the earth, being patient with it until it receives the early and the late rains. You also must be patient. Strengthen your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.

James 5:7-8

Advent is a waiting time,
-we await the celebration of the birth of Jesus,
-we await Christ’s second coming,
-but God waits for us, too.
