Internet Safety for Web Surfers and Parents

The District Attorney’s office recommends that parents monitor their child’s activity on the computer. A flyer was sent out this week, through the weekly envelope, from the District Attorney’s office to help guide parents around internet safety. Please take some time with your children to talk about keeping them safe on the Internet.

A New School Sign

A new school sign is schedule to go up this week on Main Street in front of the school. The new school logo of Mary and Jesus will be on the sign and you will find it at the top of this newsletter. We are adding a sign on the back of the building, marking the school entrance as well. This will help direct visitors to our entrance at the school and the doorbell on the patio.

Thank you Mr. Keegan

On Thursday, October 27, Mr. Keegan from Keegan Studio and his brother Mr. Keegan served ice cream to all of our students. After each lunch the students were invited to make their own sundaes. Mr. Keegan, our photographer, enjoys taking our student’s pictures and wanted them to share in the goodness in our world by surprising them with ice cream. Our students were very grateful.

Catholic School Appeal

Once a year around the end of September parishes take up a collection to support Catholic Schools. Monies collected in our parish and money marked to go to our school collected in other parishes is then sent to our school. This year we collected $4296.00 as a result of this appeal. Thank you to the parents and parishioners who support Catholic education and help those families that cannot afford it otherwise.
