Dear Parents,

Can you believe we have reached the end of the school year? Time flies! Certainly, though, your children are the evidence of the months passing. The students have all grown physically, socially, and academically. It’s truly a special time in their lives as we see them make friends and gain an ever-growing understanding of the world around them. They are beautiful people and they make us proud.

After our bug unit, the most recent theme has been the ocean. This is in preparation for our beach day! We also built on previous knowledge of patterning and fine motor control of various crafts. In addition, we talked about the special things that happen in the month of June. From playing outside later in the day to eating ice cream, the children had lots of great things to share about what they do in June. Everyone was very excited that it would all be starting!

Classroom News (Programs B&C) - December (from last year)

Dear Parents,

We had a wonderful month of November, full of learning about being thankful to God for everything we have and everything around us. Our Thanksgiving feast helped us learn about the first Thanksgiving. We made some of the same food that the Pilgrims and Native Americans had long ago.

In preparation for reading, we concentrated on the letters Pp and Tt and their sounds, and continued to practice numbers and patterns in Math. This week, we've been working on Jj, with Mm and Cc coming up! J is for Jesus, jingle, joy, and jolly!

December will be packed with Christmas lessons and preparations in this season of Advent!

Thank you for your support of Operation Christmas Child. Your generosity will certainly make a difference to many children, and helped your child learn about giving to others.

Just a note to parents... arriving to school on time provides your child with time for important socialization with his/her peers.

Merry Christmas!

We hope that your family has a happy, healthy and blessed Christmas and New Year. The children know that we celebrate Christmas because of Baby Jesus, and as we all observe, children display the true wonder and joy of the season. May they fill your households with their energy and spirit this Christmas and always.
