Susan Zybert

"Childhood is a journey…" is one of my favorite quotes. I thoroughly enjoy sharing the journey with the Kindergarten children at St. Mary’s. Their enthusiasm for learning inspires me daily and therefore my Early Childhood profession has been very satisfying.

Susan has been teaching Kindergarten here at St. Mary School since it opened in September 1999. Prior to this, she has taught Preschool, Kindergarten, 1st Grade, and 2nd Grade. Most of her experience has been in Catholic schools because she loves teaching children about God's love and sharing her faith with them.

Susan and her husband, John, have four children...all graduates of St. Mary School. Presently, she has a married son, Jason, living in Connecticut with his wife Susan and their three children. Jason is a graduate of Providence College and Mass. College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. He is employed as a Pharmacist in Middlebury Hospital. Keith is a graduate of Wentworth Institute of Technology and works in construction management. Matthew is a graduate of Elms College and works in computer design for Sallie Mae . Sarah graduated from Fairfield University and is now a student at U Conn Law School.

Susan enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and especially with her grandchildren. She is also actively involved in her parish of St. Mary and the Diocesan Pastoral Council.
