Mary Rohanna

I enjoy working with children and have always wanted to be a teacher. I like the challenge of bringing out what is best in each student. I think it is important to foster positive attitudes in the learning environment. I believe that one educates in the faith as much by example as by words and each strengthens the other when they are in harmony.

I was a Reading and English teacher in the public schools for twelve years. I left teaching with the birth of my second child. I began teaching preschool when my youngest child entered the program at age three. I was a preschool teacher there for ten years. I am a graduate of St. Mary School. My two daughters are both graduates from St. Mary School. My eldest daughter, Lisa, is a senior in college. My youngest daughter, Marianne, is a freshman in college. My husband and I enjoy spending vacation time with our daughters in the summer in Maine or at the Cape. I feel very fortunate to be a preschool teacher at St. Mary School.
