Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults
|
|
If you or someone you know is interested in becoming catholic or if you are a Catholic who would like to complete your initiation through the sacraments of Confirmation and/or Eucharist, the Rite of Christian Initiation (RCIA) can help. The RCIA forms adults in the Catholic faith and prepares them for the sacraments of initiation. For additional information please call Fr. Mike, Fr. Adam or Deacon Frank at the pastoral center. |
ADULT CONFIRMATION CLASS
Adults who have been baptized catholic and made their First Communion, but who have not been confirmed, are invited to participate in an adult confirmation class. Several preparation sessions will be held before the adult confirmation at St. Paul’s Cathedral in early February. Please call Fr. Mike or Fr. Adam at the pastoral center for more information.

Members of Saints Francis & Therese Catholic Worker will be here on the weekend of August 22 and 23, 2009, with our homemade baked goods. The sale of our wholesome bread and muffins, made with organic ingredients, is the main source of income which supports our ministries. We shelter homeless men and women, and we work for justice and peace. There is no set price for the bread as we prefer to depend on your generosity to carry on the works of mercy.
ITEMS OF THE MONTH
The Items of the Month are Condiments: Ketchup, Mustard or Relish. (No glass jars, please!) We're almost there with only 50 more to go. Thank you for your support! September’s items of the month are body soap, liquid or bar.
Thank you very much! Marisa Mitchell

Celebrating Together, Building Our Community!
In the spirit of the parish expansion plans, the Family Festival Committee is also building on the traditions of St. Mary by once again offering a new and improved Grand Raffle. This year you can double your chances of winning and it won’t cost you any more than last year. That’s right two Grand Raffle Tickets for $100! Or if you prefer, one ticket for $75. Either way, it’s quite a bargain and a great way to put $15,000 in your pocket. And back by popular demand is the same fantastic second prize four box seats to the Red Sox/Indians game on October 4th and four premium seats to the Patriots/Jets game on November 22nd!
Tickets may be purchased from the Raffle committee after selected masses. As a special Sunday incentive this year, if you purchase two tickets after a Mass, you will have the chance to spin the Wheel-of-Luck and be entered into a special drawing for a one of ten FREE Raffle tickets to be awarded at the end of August. So buy your tickets now, spin the Wheel-of-Luck and increase your odds of winning!
