Jesus was led by the Spirit into the desert, a place of harshness and solitude, silence and impoverishment. The desert is also depicted by the great spiritual writers as a site for the beginning of conversion, renewal and new birth. Set time aside each day during Lent for some small “desert experiences”, an act of self-denial, to be reminded of the need for conversion in order to draw closer to the Lord. |
DAILY MASS will be celebrated at 6:45 am (Monday Friday) and 8:30 am (Monday Saturday).
OPPORTUNITIES FOR PRAYER include the ROSARY at 7:30 pm on Monday evenings in the pastoral center chapel and ADORATION OF THE EUCHARIST on Fridays from 9:00 am 1:00 pm. Join us.

Please take a moment to consider giving your Father, Husband or Son an opportunity and the encouragement to spend the day enriching their faith at the Worcester Diocesan Catholic Men’s Conference on Saturday, March 28th 2009 at the DCU Center in Worcester. With all that is going on in our World and Lives, this is a day for them to reflect, refresh, and re-energize. At the end of the Conference they will be better prepared in their role as Father, Husband and Son, as well as to prioritize the things in their life, and contemplate what is important. This day can better prepare them for the next and so many after, as a Man. If you would sacrifice of yourself, and assist them with their responsibilities on that day so they may attend, you would be giving them not only a day of reflection, but so much more. |
The Conference includes Speakers with messages on important topics in the life of Men today that we all can relate to. Topics include, Manhood and Faith (by Joe Klecko of the NY Jets), Forgiveness of Sin (Monsignor Frank Lane), and Why be Catholic? (Guy Doud). For a complete list of topics and speakers visit the conference website at: www.firstmensconf.org/www.firstmensconf.org/Home.html .
St. Mary Representatives Kurt Brenner (508.842.0322/kurttb@msn.com) or Greg Morelli (508.845.6938/ gtmorelli@townisp.com) may be contacted if there are any questions. Brochures are available in the vestibule of the church, with sign up being conducted after mass on the following dates: Sunday 03/01/09 and 03/08/09. On-line registration is also available via the Conference website.
Please complete a promissory note below, and give a Loved One this special day.
