PARABLE OF THE TALENTS FAIR

Join us for the Parable of the Talents Fair next Sunday, March 1st in the parish hall after all the morning Masses. Come and see how parishioners have been multiplying their talents these past few months.

LENT IS COMING...

The season of Lent will begin soon on Ash Wednesday, February 25th. Plan now to join us at St. Mary’s as we enter into this holy season.

  • 6:45 am Mass & Ashes
  • 8:30 am Mass & Ashes (St. Mary’s School joins us)
  • 12:00 pm Mass & Ashes
  • 4:30 pm Liturgy of the Word & Ashes (Gr. 4 Religious Ed students join us)
  • 7:00 pm Mass & Ashes

FAST & ABSTINENCE DURING LENT

Abstinence from meat is observed on Ash Wednesday, Good Friday and all the Fridays of Lent for Catholics 14 years of age and older. Fasting is observed on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday for Catholics from age 18-59 years. On these two days of fast one full meal is allowed. Two other meatless meals sufficient to maintain strength may be taken according to one’s needs, but together they should not equal another full meal.

DAILY MASS will be celebrated during the season of Lent at 6:45 am and 8:30 am (Monday thru Friday) and 8:30 am on Saturday.

LOVE LOAVES (small Lenten offering containers) and CRS Rice Bowls are available this weekend for your Lenten almsgiving. Your contributions will be divided among several charitable ministries that our parish supports, including St. Anne’s Human Services, Maryknoll Lay Missioners (Evan & Sue Cuthbert), St. Michel’s in Roche-a-Bateau (our sister parish in Haiti), and the Marie-Anne Center at St. Bernard’s Church. As the containers are much smaller this year, may we suggest that you fill them with quarters only.

I encourage you to be generous in the special Collection for the Church in Latin America, which is scheduled to be taken at the Lord’s Day Masses in all the parishes throughout our Diocese next weekend, February 28th and March 1st.

Sincerely yours in Christ,
