Sunset Mass Stirs Feeling

We also had a good beginning to the Rel. Ed. year with a hike up Mt. Wachusett followed by a sunset mass. Pizza was delivered at the top by Annette Shine and Amy Kotsopoulos our parent ``pizza delivery girls’.’ Fr. Manuel celebrated the mass and although it was a small group of 25 people in all, with just 17 high schoolers, it was a wonderful experience. The setting was serene and as the sun made its descent in the sky we marveled at the beauty of God’s creation. Fr. Manuel used a rock at the summit, for his altar and there was complete silence when he began with the words “On a rock such as this more than 2000 years ago, Abraham brought his son Isaac for sacrifice......Today we offer God our minds and hearts...”
