St. Mary’s second grade Reconciliation students proudly show off their sheep. The children have been learning that when they sin they distance themselves from God, just as the stray lamb loses its way from the flock. Yet Christ is the Good Shepherd and loves all of his sheep and wants to bring all those lost back into the fold. He lovingly showers all those seeking forgiveness with mercy. Through the Sacrament of Reconciliation, lost sheep find their way home. If the smiles are any indication, these lost sheep have found there way home. Congratulations to our second graders as they reach another milestone on their faith journeys.

A St. Mary’s School second grader receives the Sacrament of Reconciliation for the first time.

Parishioners sign the Prayer Partner poster displayed outside the confessional on the left side of the church. Adult parishioners select a First Communion candidate to pray for as the student prepares to receive the Eucharist for the first time this May. The children will also be praying for their pray partners. Over 190 second graders are in this year’s First Communion class. God bless them all.
