The Need for School Development

St. Mary School has a five-year strategic plan in place in order to help improve and update our school to make it the best possible place to educate our children. The strategic plan has a list of improvements that need to be made to our school. Having these improvements in place will help the school in its next accreditation.

The first task on the strategic plan is to build a media center for the school. The media center will be a much-needed asset to our school. It will have all the modern technology that our students and teachers need to learn and teach effectively.

In order to pay for the improvements on the strategic plan the school has designed a development fund that is designated to pay for only the updates that are in the strategic plan. The development fund will raise money by using various methods such as fundraisers, grants and pledges.

To start off our development fund the school is sponsoring the Anthony Kearns concert in order to raise money for the much needed media center. This concert should help us get a great start towards our goal in raising money for the media center and giving our children the best education possible.
