Evelyn Baroni to Pilot Jet Set

By Evelyn Baroni

First of all I would like to say a very big thank you to Fran Collins for the wonderful effort put forth with the Jet Set activities over the years. Good job, Fran. I know I have very big shoes to fill, but Iíll do my best.

On July 31, with only 20 people in tow, we headed to Tanglewood for a rehearsal concert with John Williams conducting and for some of us, on to the red Lion Inn for lunch. It was a wonderfully relaxing day.

On September 7, we headed south for a lobster bake at Captain Jackís, yum! and then on to Foxwoods. Some of us came home a little richer and some of us just came home. But all will agree, it was a terrific day.

Our next trip is on December 9, 2004. We will be traveling to Newport Rhode Island for a tour of the Marble House in all of its holiday finery, lunch at the Moorings, a brief stop at the Brick Marketplace then on to Lasalette Shrine in all of its splendor.

Tentative plans are being made for the 2005 season. they include May 5, 2005, Charlie Prose at Foxwoods (donít panic, this is an afternoon show), June 15, the Boston Duck Tour with lunch at the No Name Restaurant, 7/20, Bluegrass Lobster Feast at Chez Josef and 8/17 "Best Little Whorehouse in Texas," with lunch, of course, and finally a fall foliage trip to upstate New York combined with the Erie Canal and Niagara Falls from October 3, to October 6, 2005.

So, save the dates, have a restful and healthy winter so that youíll be ready for whatís to come.
