Generosity Can Offset Deficit and Debt

For the fiscal year ended August 31, 2003, St. Mary’s Parish operated at deficit of $9,300 as compared to a surplus of approximately $70,000 in 2002. The principle reason for this deficit was a reduction in the Weekly Collections of $87,000.

In addition, St. Mary’s owes approximately $634,000 to the Diocese of Worcester. In order for St. Mary’s Parish to sustain our very successful programs in the Liturgy, Health Ministry, Outreach and our parish Youth Programs, Fr. O’Connell and the Finance Committee ask you to consider an increase in your weekly stewardship.
